This Privacy Policy explains how Nouri ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects your information when you use our mobile application and related services (the "Service"). Protecting your privacy, especially regarding sensitive biometric and facial data, is our absolute highest priority.
1. Information We Collect
A. Face Data (Sensitive Data)
To provide Nouri's core aesthetic and facial analysis features, we collect 2D facial photographs that you explicitly and voluntarily upload or capture using your device camera ("Face Data"). We do not use Apple's TrueDepth API or collect 3D facial mapping data.
B. Usage and Device Information (Non-Sensitive)
When you access the Service, we automatically collect certain device and usage information. This includes your IP address, device identifier (IDFA/GAID, subject to your consent), operating system, app crash reports, and general app interaction data.
2. How We Use Your Information & Third-Party AI
A. Processing via Google Gemini API
Your Face Data is used strictly and exclusively to provide real-time facial analysis, aesthetic enhancement suggestions, and scoring within Nouri. To perform this complex analysis, your Face Data is securely transmitted in real-time to our Third-Party AI service provider, Google Gemini API.
B. AI Training Prohibition
Google Gemini API acts solely as a data processor. They are strictly and contractually prohibited from storing your Face Data or using your inputs to train, improve, or fine-tune their foundational AI models.
3. Strict Zero-Retention Policy for Face Data
We enforce a strict Zero-Retention Policy for all Face Data processed through Nouri:
- No Server Storage: We do not store, host, or save your Face Data on our servers.
- Immediate Deletion: Your Face Data is processed in-memory in real-time. Immediately after the AI analysis is completed and the results are returned to your device (usually within seconds), the Face Data is permanently deleted and discarded from all active memory.
- No Marketing Use: Your Face Data is never shared with third parties for marketing, advertising, or data brokerage purposes.
4. Advertising and Analytics (MMPs)
To understand how users interact with our marketing campaigns and to optimize our advertising efforts, we work with Mobile Measurement Partners (MMPs) and advertising networks, specifically Meta (Facebook) and TikTok.
- What is Shared: We only share non-personally identifiable usage data, device identifiers, and conversion events (e.g., app installs or subscription purchases) with these partners.
- Absolute Separation: Under no circumstances do we share, sell, or transmit your Face Data or biometric information to MMPs, Meta, TikTok, advertisers, or any marketing partners. Advertising tracking is strictly limited to standard app usage metrics.
5. Data Access, Removal, and Your Rights
- Account Deletion: You can delete your account and all associated profile data directly from the Nouri app settings at any time.
- Revoking Tracking Consent: You can opt-out of ad tracking for Meta and TikTok by navigating to your iOS Device Settings -> Privacy & Security -> Tracking, and disabling the permission for Nouri.
- Data Subject Rights: Depending on your region (e.g., GDPR, CCPA), you have the right to request access to, rectification of, or erasure of your personal data by contacting us directly.
